Up the street, before it wakes up.

  1. 07:30Out the glass door, turn north. Leave the “Gone quiet.” sign up if someone's still asleep.
  2. 07:34Barracks Row, four minutes. Coffee, standing up, like a local.
  3. 08:15Eastern Market, twelve minutes from the room. Buy something you didn't plan to.
  4. 09:30Back the long way, past the rowhouses. The mint tea will still be there.
  5. 11:00Check-out. Or text us and ask nicely about staying put a little longer.

  2. 18:38Capitol Riverfront, eight minutes. The boardwalk, the river, the light going.
  3. 18:40Navy Yard Metro is ten minutes, if you're meeting someone off the Green Line.
  4. 19:05Nationals Park, twelve minutes from your pillow. First pitch.
  5. LateWalk back up 10th St. Your key still works. It always does.
